About Martha Clare

Martha was raised believing that nothing brings people together better than a good meal. Spending her childhood in the kitchen with her talented mother led both Martha and her brother into the professional world of food.

Before getting into pastry, Martha received a degree from the University of Waterloo, with a minor in fine arts. Although her training in the kitchen began early by her mother’s side, Martha’s formal education started in the Pastry program at George Brown College. While there Martha’s creativity and passion for pastries flourished. She was a recipient of an Ace Bakery Award and was one of a few students selected by her teachers to train in France. Martha had a work placement at Nadege, the number one Patisserie in Toronto. Her passion for pastries led her to Langdon Hall, as a full-time pastry cook at one of the top 60 restaurants in the world.

Currently you can find Martha kneading, blending, and mixing at The Bake Shop on Main in Cambridge, Ontario.
